Who We Are & Why We Do It

Wilson's Appliance was started in 1921 by Founder E.V. Wilson as a door-to-door Maytag washing machine sales company. Commissioned salesmen would load gasoline-powered wringer washers on the back of converted Model T Fords and return when they were sold. Over the years, the line, brands, and services changed, but the foundation in the Champlain Valley and Northern Adirondacks has not. Wilson's Appliance provides responsible and dependable Sales and Service for all major appliance brands in our region. We are committed to the North Country and will still bring washers directly to your door and set them up, ready for use — only in a later-model vehicle.

In 2022, Wilson's Appliance acquired Thibault Appliances in St. Albans, VT after discovering the two companies held similar philosophies on service and support to the communities they serve. Goals of the merger were largely to maintain the focus and expand the inventory, all at the best prices. Now, with one of the largest fleets of delivery and service teams in Vermont and Northeastern New York, Wilson's Appliance’s level of service is unmatched.
